Error: No cloud gateways are available: failed to validate certificates of some gateways

Challenge

When running a backup-copy and/or a backup job, the job fails with the following error:

No cloud gateways are available: failed to validate certificates of some gateways

Solution

Open the necessary ports required for Anycloud BaaS for Veeam to connect to the cloud repository and/or cloud host.

Verify your connection on port TCP 6180 by opening Anycloud Speedtest and start the test.

Cause

The Veeam Backup & Replication server is unable to connect to Anycloud BaaS for Veeam on the required ports. This could be due to local software based firewall (like Windows Firewall), physical firewall, or the ISP blocking requiered ports.
